"Manos de Dios"
It has been reported by the county agency (DIF) which specializes in physical and mental abuse of minors that the DIF recieves approximently 250 monthly cases of physical and sexual abuse between family members that affect minors directly.
In the area of Zihuatanejo we see the story of the vicious circle of alcholic and drug addiction reanacted as the children of addicted parents look for an escape from their pain through drugs, leaving them without hope.
For this reason we opened in 2012 a childrens home:
"Manos de Dios"
In 2012 we helped open a children's home. It began as 'Manos de Dios' but the official name now before the government is Talita Cumi (Child Arise). We are thankful that it has reached the point that it is now operating independently with its own board of directors, is appropriately registered with the government and has its own support fund.
We are now turning our part of the ministry to the great need that we have observed that has not yet been met which is a ministry to the parents of these children and thereby to the whole family once Christ has transformed their lives. This is the focus of 'Manos de Dios'
With a desire to provide a life of hope and dignity for these children.
The Vision for "Manos de Dios"
"To bring spiritual, mental, physical and economical restoration to the parents of needy and abused children and to be able to reunite families which will whole heartily live their lives In Christ."
"For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you, and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
